A landing page costs whatever the work behind it costs: the copy, the design, the build, the form wiring, the tracking and any testing. Do it yourself and you pay a builder subscription plus your time. Hire a freelancer or an agency and you pay for some or all of that work, quoted per project. This guide shows what each route includes, what pushes the price up, and what Verlua charges.

TL;DR

DIY builders listed from $19 a year (Carrd) to $29 a month (Unbounce Starter, Leadpages Pro) on October 31, 2026. Freelancer and agency prices are quoted per project, so compare what each quote includes, not just the total. Copy, VSL video, integrations, testing and page count drive the price. Verlua quotes each landing page after a free call, with no minimum contract.

Want more leads from the ad clicks you pay for? Verlua writes, designs and builds it, wires the form and sets up tracking.

How Much Does a Landing Page Cost?

A landing page costs anywhere from a builder subscription to a custom project quote. The DIY route starts at $19 a year for Carrd Pro Standard and $29 a month for Unbounce Starter or Leadpages Pro, as listed on October 31, 2026. Freelancers and agencies quote per project, based on copy, video, integrations, testing and how many pages you need.

We aren't publishing freelancer or agency price ranges here. We couldn't find a survey with a clear method that covers landing pages specifically, and a made-up range would be less useful than a list of what to ask. The sections below give you that list instead, so you can compare two quotes line by line.

What Does a DIY Landing Page Builder Cost?

A DIY landing page builder costs between about $19 a year and $29 a month at the entry level. That buys the editor, templates and hosting. It doesn't buy the copy, the offer, the form setup, or the tracking that tells you which ad sent the lead. Those are still your job.

Freelancer vs. Agency vs. DIY Builder: Which Should You Pick?

Pick DIY when the offer is simple and you have time to learn the tools. Pick a freelancer when you already have the copy and need it designed and built. Pick an agency when paid traffic is going to the page and you want copy, wiring and tracking handled and tested by one team. The table shows what usually changes between the three.

What a DIY builder, a freelancer and an agency usually include in a landing page project
ItemDIY builderFreelancerAgency
What you payA builder subscription, plus your hoursA project or hourly quoteA project quote after a discovery call
Who writes the copyYouOften you; some freelancers write itUsually included
Form and CRM wiringYou, using the builder’s integrationsDepends on the freelancer’s skillsUsually included and tested

Split testingVaries by builder and planRarely includedSet up when traffic allows
Best fitA simple offer, a small budget, and time to learn the toolsA clear brief and copy you have already writtenPaid traffic where a broken form or missing tracking costs real money

These are typical splits, not rules. Plenty of freelancers write strong copy, and some agencies hand you a design file and stop. That's why the quote matters more than the label: ask each one which rows they cover.

What Drives the Price of a Landing Page?

Six things move a landing page quote: who writes the copy, whether there's a video to make, how many tools the form connects to, whether you want split testing, how many pages you need, and where the page is hosted. The design itself is rarely the biggest line. A one-page layout is quick; the work around it is what adds up.

Copy

Copy is the part most quotes leave vague. Writing a page from scratch means learning the offer, the buyer and the objections first, which takes a call and some research. If you can hand over a clear headline, the offer and real proof, the job gets smaller. Our landing page design examples show what the first screen of a strong page says, so you can draft it before you ask for quotes.

VSL video production

A video sales letter adds a script, filming and editing on top of the page. That work is often quoted by someone else, like a videographer or editor, and it can take longer than the page. The page around the video is close to a normal landing page: headline above the player, one repeated button, proof and a written version below. Our VSL landing page template lists the nine sections, and the VSL landing page examples show them on live pages.

Integrations

A form that emails you is quick. A form that also creates a CRM contact, books a calendar slot, texts you and reports a conversion to Google Ads needs each step built and tested. Ask how the quote handles a failed submission: a form that shows "Thanks!" but never delivers the lead is the most expensive bug a landing page can have.

Testing

A split test needs a second version of part of the page and enough traffic to tell the two apart. Unbounce's 2024 Conversion Benchmark Report, built from more than 41,000 landing pages, put the median conversion rate across industries at 6.6%. At that rate, 500 visitors produce about 33 leads, split across two versions. That's usually too few to call a winner, so testing only pays once the page has steady traffic.

Number of pages

One page per offer is the cheapest setup. Service businesses often need one per service and town, so a "gutter guards in Roseville" ad lands on a page that says exactly that. The first page costs the most; the next ones reuse its layout, form and tracking, so each one adds less.

Is a Landing Page Worth the Cost?

A landing page is worth it when you pay for clicks that would otherwise land on a general homepage. Google's Quality Score help page lists landing page experience as one of its three components: "How relevant and useful your landing page is to people who click your ad." A page built for one ad answers that better than a homepage.

Most of those clicks come from phones. The same Unbounce report found 83% of the visits it analyzed happened on mobile devices. So the cost question is really about whether the page works on a phone: a fast first screen, a short form and a button you can tap with a thumb.

One case where you don't need one: Local Services Ads. Google's Local Services help page says customers "can call or message them or schedule a booking directly through Google." The ad sends people to Google, not your site. See what Local Services Ads cost if you're weighing the two.

What Does Verlua Charge for a Landing Page?

Verlua quotes each landing page after a free discovery call, because the six price drivers above change the work so much. You get a written scope and a fixed price before anything starts. For scale, a full one-time website build with us runs $2,500 – $5,000, and ongoing SEO runs $2,500/mo during launch months, then $1,500/mo. There's no minimum contract.

Every Verlua landing page includes:

  • Copy written from a call with you, matched to the ad that sends the traffic.
  • Design for a phone first, with one offer and one next step.
  • Build on your domain, or inside the page builder you already use.
  • Form and booking wiring, tested end to end so leads reach your inbox, CRM or calendar.
  • Conversion tracking connected to Google Ads or Meta.
  • A/B test setup once the page has the traffic to read a result.

Filming a VSL is scoped separately from the page. If you want us to run the Google Ads too, that's scoped after discovery or bundled into a monthly engagement, and the ad spend goes from you directly to Google. The full list, with the process and FAQ, is on our landing page design service page.

How Can You Keep Landing Page Costs Down?

Do the thinking before you ask for quotes. A clear offer, real proof and one goal per page cut more cost than any discount. These five steps keep the work, and the price, small:

  • Write the offer in one sentence. If you can't, the page will take longer to write, whoever writes it.
  • Collect proof first. Reviews, photos of real jobs, licenses you actually hold. Proof that has to be chased down slows everything.
  • Start with one page. Build the page for your best-selling service, measure it, then copy the layout for the rest.
  • Skip testing until there's traffic. A split test with a few dozen leads won't tell you anything.
  • Use the form tools you already have. Connecting to a CRM you pay for is cheaper than adding a new one.

Frequently Asked Questions About Landing Page Costs

How much does a landing page cost?

A do-it-yourself landing page costs a builder subscription plus your time: on October 31, 2026, Unbounce Starter listed at $29 a month, Leadpages Pro at $29 a month and Carrd Pro Standard at $19 a year. Freelancers and agencies quote per project, and the price moves with copy, video, integrations and testing. Verlua quotes each page after a free discovery call.

Is it cheaper to build a landing page yourself?

In cash, yes: a builder subscription costs far less than paying someone. The cost moves to your time. You write the copy, set up the form, connect it to your inbox or CRM and install conversion tracking yourself. If the page will carry paid traffic, a mistake in the form or the tracking costs more than the subscription saved.

How much does a VSL landing page cost?

A VSL landing page costs the page plus the video. The page itself is close to any other landing page: a headline, the player, one repeated button and a written version below. The video is the bigger variable, because scripting, filming and editing can take more time than the page. Verlua scopes filming separately from the page build.

Do I need a landing page for Local Services Ads?

No. Google says customers can call, message or book a Local Services Ads provider directly through Google, so the ad does not send people to your website. Google search ads and Facebook ads are different: the click goes to a page you pick, and Google rates that page as part of Quality Score.

What should a landing page quote include?

A useful quote names who writes the copy, how many design revisions are included, where the page is hosted and who owns it, which tools the form connects to, what conversion tracking is set up, and whether split testing is part of the job. If any of those is missing, ask before you sign, because each one can change the price.

Want a landing page that pays for its clicks?

Verlua writes, designs and builds landing pages for Google Ads, Facebook ads and VSL offers, with the form wired and tracking set up. Quoted after a free call. No minimum contract.
