Web Design Services for Small Businesses

Websites that bring small businesses more customers. Each one is built to be found on Google and in AI answers like ChatGPT, with a page for every service, and designed so a visit turns into a call or quote request.

Built to be found and to convert

What do Verlua's small business web design services include?

Every small business website we build covers six things: being found on Google, being found in AI answers like ChatGPT, turning visitors into calls and quote requests, speed on phones, a custom design and full ownership. The build costs $2,500 – $5,000 one-time, depending on page count and integrations.

Found on Google

A page for each service and area you serve, clean titles and descriptions, internal links, schema markup and a Google Business Profile that points to the right pages.

Found in AI answers

Built for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews (AEO): text AI crawlers can read, crawler access in robots.txt, answer-first pages, FAQ schema and an llms.txt file.

Built to turn visitors into leads

One clear next step on every page: click-to-call, short quote forms or booking, with call and form tracking so you see which pages bring inquiries.

Fast on every phone

Mobile-first and tested on phones, tablets and desktop, because most people searching for a service do it on a phone.

A design that looks like you

A visual identity and layouts shaped around your business and customers, so you look like the obvious choice in the search results.

Yours to own and manage

A CMS your team can update, plus your code, domain, accounts and documentation. No minimum contract.

Small Business Web Design FAQ

Cost, timeline, and what you get.

How much do web design services cost for a small business?

Most small business websites we build cost $2,500 – $5,000 as a one-time project. Where a site lands in that range depends on page count, integrations like booking or payments, and timeline. If you would rather spread it out, the build can run inside $2,500/mo launch months with SEO included, then ongoing SEO from $1,000/mo (about $1,500/mo in competitive industries).

Is there affordable website design for small businesses?

Our floor is $2,500. A do-it-yourself website builder costs less if you have the time to write, design, and set up SEO yourself. What the higher price buys is a custom design, a page for each service, SEO set up at launch, and someone to call when something breaks.

How long does a small business website take?

Most projects take 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch: about a week of discovery, one to two weeks of design, two to three weeks of building, and a week of testing and launch prep. Bigger sites and slow content approvals take longer.

Do your web design services include SEO?

Yes, the setup: one page per service, page titles and descriptions, heading structure, structured data, redirects from your old site, and Search Console connected at launch. Ongoing SEO, where we keep adding pages and fixing what Google flags, is a separate monthly service.

Will my website show up in AI answers like ChatGPT?

We build for it. Page text sits in the HTML where AI crawlers can read it, those crawlers are allowed in robots.txt, each page answers a real question in its first lines, and an llms.txt file describes your business. Nobody can guarantee a mention in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews, but a site AI tools cannot read never gets one.

How does the website turn visitors into leads?

Every page has one clear next step: tap-to-call, a short quote form, or booking. Forms go straight to your inbox, and calls and form submissions are tracked so you can see which pages and searches bring in inquiries.

Will my website work on phones?

Yes. We design for phones first, build in tap-to-call and short forms, and test on iOS and Android, tablets, and every major browser.

Can I update the website myself after launch?

Yes. You get an editor for text, photos, services, and blog posts, plus a short training walkthrough at handoff.

Where are you based, and which areas do you work with?

We are based in Roseville, California, and work with businesses anywhere in the US. Meetings happen in person around Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin and Folsom, or by video.
